“When designing jewels, as in all my art, I create what I love” (Salvador Dalí). From 1941 to 1958 Dalí designed a collection of jewels and followed the whole creation process associated with Ertman and Alemany, two jewellers who had settled in New York. This collection, which will gradually come to include new jewels over the years, was in the hands of several different owners until 1999, when the Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation decided to purchase it and put it on display in some of the rooms of the Dalí Theatre-Museum in Figueres, designed especially to host this collection. Now, Triangle Postals and the Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation present the book Dalí Jewels, a carefully edited and detailed edition including texts by Dalí himself on his jewels.
